The export of Swiss watches in May increased by 14.4%

Since the beginning of the year, the total result has amounted to $12.2 billion, which is 11.3% more than in May last year. Let's consider in detail:

- Demand for watches with precious metal cases remains consistently strong, with growth of +19.8% in May

- Watches in bicolor cases also showed an increase of + 8.1%

- Category "Other materials" grew + 74%

- The total number of watches shipped in May was 230,000 pieces, up 19.7% from last year. Since the beginning of the year, there has been an increase of 840,000 units (+14.6%)

- In Europe, the export of Swiss watches increased by an average of 8.8%, Italy showed an increase of +23.1%
